Introduction
Red Stapler Worldwide, INC. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SiteLine RF mobile application (the "App"), available at sitelineplanner.com. SiteLine RF is a planning tool for amateur radio operators to model antenna sites, evaluate propagation, and manage repeater configurations.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, why it collects it, how it is stored and protected, and the rights you have regarding your information. We are committed to handling your data with transparency and respect.
By using SiteLine RF, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
Information We Collect
SiteLine RF is designed to collect the minimum information necessary to deliver its core functionality. Below is a complete description of every category of data the App accesses or collects.
Your device's location is used exclusively to populate your antenna site's geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude, and elevation). This data is processed entirely on your device. Your location is never transmitted to our servers and is never shared with any third party. You may manually enter coordinates at any time without granting location permission.
Camera access is used exclusively for the Sky Scan feature, which overlays azimuth and elevation data onto your camera feed to help identify sky obstructions around your antenna site. The camera feed is processed in real time on your device only. No images, video frames, or camera data are ever captured, stored, or transmitted by the App or our servers.
If you choose to save a site plan, the App prompts you to enter your FCC-licensed amateur radio callsign. This callsign is stored on our servers as the key that identifies your site plan data. No account creation, email address, or password is required. Your callsign is already publicly registered with the FCC; we use it solely as a convenient, user-controlled identifier.
Site plan data includes antenna configurations, tower setup details, transceiver information, and related parameters you enter into the App. This data is stored on our servers, keyed to your callsign, so you can access and synchronize your plans across multiple devices. This information is used solely to provide the App's core functionality and is not used for any commercial or advertising purpose.
Data we do not collect: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment information, device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV), IP addresses for tracking purposes, browsing history, contacts, microphone input, or any other device sensor data beyond location and camera as described above.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes only:
- To display your device's coordinates as default antenna site coordinates within the App.
- To enable the Sky Scan augmented-reality overlay on your device screen.
- To save, retrieve, and synchronize your site plan data across your devices using your callsign as the identifier.
- To operate and maintain the App and its server infrastructure.
- To respond to support inquiries you initiate by contacting us.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose not directly related to operating the App as described.
Third-Party Services
SiteLine RF connects to the following external data sources server-side to provide real-time RF planning data. These requests are made from our servers — your device does not connect directly to these services, and no personally identifiable information (PII) is included in any request made to these providers.
- NOAA Solar condition and space weather data for propagation modeling. No PII Sent
- RepeaterBook Amateur radio repeater directory data. No PII Sent
- USGS / AWS Terrain elevation data for line-of-sight calculations. No PII Sent
- Feedline Labs / ARD Additional repeater directory and amateur radio data. No PII Sent
Queries sent to these services contain only geographic coordinates or frequency parameters — the same publicly available information used by any RF planning tool. Your callsign, device identity, and any other identifying information are never included.
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Sentry, Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, or any other analytics or advertising SDK.
Data Storage and Security
Your callsign and site plan data are stored on servers operated by Red Stapler Worldwide, INC. We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls limiting who can access stored data.
Location and camera data are processed entirely on-device and are never stored or transmitted — there is no server-side component for these data types.
We retain your site plan data for as long as you use the App. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@sitelineplanner.com. We will honor deletion requests within 30 days.
While we take security seriously, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you not to store sensitive personal information in site plan notes or other free-text fields within the App.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located.
For all users:
- Access: You may request a copy of the data we hold associated with your callsign.
- Correction: You may request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete all data associated with your callsign.
- Portability: You may request your site plan data in a portable format.
- Opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our lawful basis for processing your callsign and site plan data is the performance of the service you have requested (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Location and camera data are processed exclusively on-device and are not processed by us as a controller. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe we have not complied with applicable law.
To exercise any of the above rights, contact us at support@sitelineplanner.com with your callsign and a description of your request. We will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
SiteLine RF is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us at support@sitelineplanner.com and we will promptly delete that information.
Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use the App only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or App functionality. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If we make material changes that significantly affect your privacy, we will provide notice through the App or via a prominent notice on sitelineplanner.com prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
